This design flows downward like the first breath, a visual Tihei Mauri Ora! Capturing mauri, the unseen force that gives life. At its heart, vibrant kura colours embody wairua, sparked into being by the sacred breath. Black and white forms frame the piece, holding balance and duality. Inspired by Hineahuone and the red sands that shaped her, this design speaks to the origins of life and reminds us of who we are, and who we belong to.
